スウェーデンのスーパーユニット、Swedish House Mafia及びAxwell Λ IngrossoのメンバーであるSebastian IngrossoがAxwell Λ Ingrossoプロジェクトを終了すると伝えました。

今年20周年を迎えたUltra Music Festivalで再結成を果たしたSwedish House Mafia。

その後もSwedish House MafiaのメンバーたちはそれぞれSNSで、Swedish House Mafiaとして本格的に活動をスタートすることを示唆するような投稿を行い、5月にAxwell Λ IngrossoがニューヨークのThe Brooklyn Mirageで行った自身のショーで、2019年​にSwedish House Mafiaとしてツアーを行うことを発表しました。

先日もOliver Heldensが自身のラジオショー「Heldeep Radio」で、Swedish House Mafiaのワールドツアーが2019年に開催されることを伝えたり、スウェーデンの新聞「Dagens Nyheter」のインタビューでSteve Angelloが「Swedish House Mafiaのメンバーはこの夏あちこちでショーをして忙しかったけど、ようやくスタジオに入った」と答えたりと、来年Swedish House Mafiaが本格的に再始動することはほぼほぼ確定しています。

Swedish House Mafiaが再始動するのは嬉しいですが、そうなるとAxwell Λ Ingrossoとしての活動はどうなるのか考えていた人も少なからずいると思いますが、このことについてSebastian Ingrossoが衝撃的な発言をしました。

最近のスウェーデンのウェブサイト「Metro」のインタビューで「Axwell Λ Ingrossoプロジェクトを近々終了し、すぐにSwedish House Mafia 2.0に全面的に取り掛かる」と発表したのです。

“Swedish House Mafiaとして活動する間、Axwell Λ Ingrossoとしての活動も続けるのか？”という質問に対して、「いや、それはないと思う。Axwell Λ Ingrossoはストップするよ。いつも言っているように、Swedish House Mafiaは3つのドットであって、決して2つのドット＋1つのドットではないんだ。でもそれぞれ個人の作業はしていくつもりだよ。」と語りました。

また”5年前に解散を発表した後、どうしてそんなすぐに再結成することを決めたのか？”という質問に対して、Sebastian Ingrossoは「僕たちのなかでは短い時間だったとは思っていない。僕とAxwellはAxwell Λ Ingrossoとして活動し、Steve Angelloもソロで活躍した。僕とAxwellこの5年間で自分たちのプロジェクトをやり遂げたと感じたんだ。それで今こそ再結成する時だと思ったんだ。なにより再始動を望んでいるファンがいてくれるから。ファンの強い想いのおかげでまたやらないとって思わせてくれたんだ。」と答えています。

つい先日、マネージメント会社「ATM Artists」の代表且つSwedish House Mafiaのマネージャーを14年間務めてきたAmy Thomsonが今夏マネージャーを降りるという発表をしましたが、Axwell Λ Ingrosso及びSwedish House Mafiaは今後どうなっていくのか注目が高まります。

Amy Thomsonが代表を務める「ATM Artists」は現在Axwell Λ Ingrossoのマネージメントも行っています。

Thanks for all the messages I got hit with about this. But I guess now is the time to say that in May this year I told the boys I would be leaving at the end of summer 2018. In this industry people expect you to stay in projects that make you powerful. Ego. Pride. Power. Money. All of that. But for me I have learned that life changes you and what you want to do with that gift is a gift in itself. It was a big decision after 14 years but one I made for myself. I wish them so much joy and happiness and success and I will be watching proudly but the era of me with the boys is at an end. And what an era it was. We changed the game so many times through everything from brave hearts to sheer blindness. What a ride. But for me life’s changed now. The future belongs to a new set of people around them and I wish them luck with all my heart. And I suppose telling people in this way is not very CEO of me. But that’s not who I am. My passion got me here not a boardroom. Thank you to everyone who helped us. Who put up with us. The fans who stayed with us. We made history. But most of all to my daughter who shared me with this crazy ride without ever complaining. We Came. We Raved. I Loved it. Thank you so much. Amy x
