「KLASH Records」の主宰、Dirtcapsが2018年9月15日をもって解散！メンバーの今後の活動は！？

2018年6月8日に、Max Oude Weernink(マックス)とDanny Groenenboom(ダニー)からなるオランダ出身のデュオ、Dirtcaps(ダートキャップス)が2018年9月15日をもって解散することを発表しました。

先日記事にもしましたが、オランダ出身のデュオ、Mightyfoolsが2018年8月いっぱいで解散してしまいましたが、MIghtyfoolsと同じくYellow Clawnのレーベル「Barong Family」からリリースを重ねてきたDirtcapsの活動も残りわずかとなってしまいました。

6月に本人たちがSNS上に出した声明は以下の通りです。

Dear Friends, Family & Dirtcaps Warriors all over the world, After long consideration and thought, today we announce the end of a wonderful, intense and incredible journey for Dirtcaps. A journey that started years ago in Haarlem, back when we we’re only kids and trying our first steps within the music industry.. It has given us the opportunity to travel all over the world to do what we love the most, playing our music for thousands and thousands of people and allowed us to work together with some of the most talented people of the industry. The last months we came to the conclusion that it was the time to finish our career as Dirtcaps One more Dirtcaps Season. The Last Dirtcaps Season. After this adventure Danny will continue DJing and producing, as a solo act under a new name. Max will also stay active in the music business focusing mainly on producing. The time has come to start a new adventure and embark upon our own personal journeys. As friends, colleagues and music enthusiasts, we look back on an unbelievable time together and are grateful to all those who have supported us along the way. Without the fans, our team and the people who supported and put their faith in us, we’d never be where we are today. Before we stop as Dirtcaps we intent to make this season the best season yet. With tons of great music to be released, a bunch of gigs on our calendar, and all of you out there to meet us at the dancefloor/festival grounds, we can’t wait to finish this journey in style. Together with you and everyone who has been a part of our story. Our Last Festival show will be at Mysteryland 26-8 and last Dirtcaps show will be in our second home Bootshaus at 14-9 with a lot of friends & family. We can’t find words to describe how thankful we are for all this that you guys have given us. We stop our journey together as friends and we are really proud of what we have reached. 親愛なる友人たち、ファミリー、そして世界中のDirtcaps Warriorsへ

長い間考えに考えた末、本日私たちDirtcapsの素晴らしい旅の終結をアナウンスします。Dirtcapsの旅はまだ自分たちが子どもだった頃、音楽の世界に入ろうと第一歩を踏み出した母国オランダ・ハールレムからスタートしました。このDirtcapsプロジェクトのおかげで世界中の色んな国を旅して何千もの人々の前で大好きな音楽を表現することができたし、このシーンの才能溢れる人たちと一緒に仕事することもできた。

Dirtcapsとしてのキャリアを終了するまで残り数か月、もう一度Dirtcaps Seasonを、最後のDirtcaps Seasonを全力でこなしたいと思う。

Dirtcapsが解散した後も、Danny Groenenboomは新しいステージネームでDJ/プロデューサーを続け、Max Oude Weerninkもまた音楽のプロデュースを中心に音楽ビジネスに力を注ぐ予定です。

今新たなアドベンチャーをスタートするときがきただけで、今後はそれぞれ自分たちの旅を進めていこうと思う。友人として、そして音楽好きとして、私たちは一緒に過ごしてきた素晴らしい時間を振り返るとともに、今までサポートしてきた全ての人たちに感謝します。ファンやチーム、自分たちを支えてくれるみんながいなかったら、今の自分たちは決して存在しなかった。

Dirtcapsとしての活動を終了するにあたって、この最後のシーズンを今までで1番最高のシーズンにする。最高の音楽を沢山みんなに届けて、カレンダーいっぱいにギグを詰め込み、フロアやフェスでみんなに会いたいと思っている。私たちのストーリーの一部でもあるみんなと一緒に、胸を張ってこの旅を終わらせたいと思う。

私たちの最後のフェスは8月26日(日)の「Mysteryland」で、Dirtcapsとして最後のショーは9月15日(土)に第2の故郷ともいえるドイツの「Bootshaus Club」で多くの友人やファミリーと一緒に行う予定です。

みんなからは本当に多くのものを与えてもらい、どう感謝の言葉を伝えたらいいのか分からない。だからこそ最後にみんなと一緒にこの旅を終えたいし、ここまでやってこれたことを誇りに思っている。

最後にして最高のDirtcaps Seasonを作っていこう！

この後、Dirtcapsは声明通り、タイ・バンコクの「Sensation」やドイツの「Parookaville」、ギリシャの「Starbeach」、そしてオランダの「Mysteryland」等多数のフェスやイベントに出演。

「Mysteryland」では、Dirtcaps自身のレーベル「KLASH Records」プレゼンツで、Mightyfoolsとともにホストを務めた「Mightyfools & Dirtcaps Legacy」ステージが登場し、2度と見ることはできないであろうMightyfoolsとのB2Bセットを披露してファンを沸かせました！

また7月にGianni Marinoとコラボした“Abajo”を、8月に“Playground”をともに自身の「KLASH Records」から発表し、Swanky Tunesとコラボした“Rooftop Party”をHardwellのレーベル「Revealed Recordings」からリリースしたりと新曲のリリースに力を注ぐと同時に、「KLASH Records」の運営にも尽力しました！

残すは9月15日(土)にドイツの人気クラブ「Bootshaus Club」で開催される【Deepblue Darksea】のショーのみとなりましたが、このイベントにはDirtcapsだけでなく、Laidback LukeやKURA, Dr. Phunk等多くのアーティストも出演することもあって歴史の残るイベントになるに違いないでしょう。

最後に彼らのショーをもう一度見ることができないのは悲しいですが、解散する前に2016年に来日公演をしてくれたことを感謝します。

MIghtyfoolsに続きDirtcapsと有能なDJ/プロデューサーグループの解散が相次いでいますが、MIghtyfoolsのAndyは「Barong Family」のA&R職を、Jelleは「Keizer Jelle」としてソロプロジェクトとしてDJ/プロデューサーを続けますし、Dirtcapsの2人もそれぞれ音楽に携わる仕事から離れることはなく、今後もソロの曲も聴くことができるので全力で応援していきたいですね。
